122 new COVID-19 cases reported in province

For the third consecutive day, the Government of Saskatchewan reported more than 100 new COVID-19 cases.

Saturday’s COVID-19 update shows 122, similar to Friday’s 125 total and the 141 recorded on Thursday.

There are now 958 active cases in the province, an increase of 65 from Friday. Hospitalizations are increasing as well, as there are now 77 in hospitals, an increase of four.

There were also 63 more recoveries, making the total number of recoveries now at 49,618.

In the Far North zones, there are 228 active cases. In the North zones, there are 185 active cases.

There are 143 active cases of COVID-19 in Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority communities.

These cases are located in the Far North Central (Athabasca), 19; Far North West, 49; Far North East, 66; North Central, eight; and North East, one; 4,140 cases (96 per cent) have recovered, and one person is hospitalized.

There are 62 active cases of COVID-19 Variants of Concern (VOCs) in NITHA communities. These cases are located in the Far North Central; 11, Far North West, 17; and Far North East, 26; North Central, eight.
