Arrest made following stolen vehicle in Prince Albert
A male is being charged following reports of a stolen SUV in Prince Albert on Tuesday.
William “Billy” Sanderson, 35, was arrested and is charged with carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a firearm while prohibited, carrying a firearm in a careless manner and pointing a firearm.
RCMP Media Relations reported that the vehicle was reported stolen from the Prince Albert Detachment area during the afternoon of Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021, and was reported to have firearms in it. It was later located abandoned in a wooded area near Macdowall.
A report from a member of the public indicated a male carrying a firearm was walking southbound along a wooded trail on the edge of the Nesbitt Forest in this same area.
