
P.A. RCMP searching for man wanted for robbery with a gun
The Prince Albert RCMP are searching for a 25-year-old man who is wanted after firing a gun and stealing a vehicle.
According to a media release, on Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. the RCMP were called about a robbery with a gun at Little Red River First Nation. The police are reporting Glen Frederick Halkett from Sturgeon Lake First Nation approached a car pulled over on the side of a road and fired a gun towards the driver of the vehicle. After the person exited the vehicle, Halkett stole the vehicle and left the scene.
He is now wanted for one count of robbery with firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, one count of pointing a firearm, one count of careless use of a firearm and one count of using a firearm during the commission of an offence.
There are no injuries to report but a warrant has been put out for his arrest. Halkett is 5-6 and 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police believe he may be in the communities of Sturgeon Lake First Nation, Little Red River First Nation, Prince Albert, Shellbrook and Ahtahkakoop First Nation, however his location has not been confirmed.
