Two men arrested on multiple charges after P.A. vehicle stop

Two men are facing weapons and drug related charges after the Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) stopped a vehicle last month.

According to a media release issued Friday, on July 18 just before midnight , police stopped a vehicle in the 1100 block of 15th Ave. W. Police found multiple items including an axe, over 125 grams of methamphetamine, two air soft pistols, ammunition, a cell phone, a scale, a large knife, MDMA pills, bear spray, more than $2,000 cash and other drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested two men in relation to the incident including 37-year-old Shane Kyle Peekeekoot from Ahtahkakoop who is facing charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous weapon.

They also arrested 42-year-old Kyle Robert Greyeyes from Edmonton who’s charged with possession of the proceeds of a crime, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a dangerous weapon and breach of court ordered release conditions.

Both have made their first court appearances and Peekeekoot is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 9 and Greyeyes will appear in court on Aug. 19.
