Safe and fun bike rally planned for Saturday
At this Saturday’s outdoor bike rally at Parkland Hall, kids can learn how to keep their bicycles safe while having a fun time.
The Prince Albert Police Service and the City of Prince Albert are teaming up to put on the bike rally, which will include a skills course to rip around, as well as education segments on how to lock up bikes safely and to report it to police if stolen.
Not only will the police service be there, but members of the Prince Albert Fire Department and Parkland Ambulance will be there as well to help out.
Bike theft is one of the most common types of property crime reported in our community. Thieves often target bikes as a way to travel to other areas of our community to commit further crimes. Stolen bikes can also be quickly repainted or taken apart, making them difficult to identify.
