Saskatchewan expands second COVID vaccine dose eligibility

Effective at 8 a.m. Saturday the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is expanding access to second doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

Anyone 70-years of age or older will be eligible to get their second shot.

It also includes people who received their first dose of a vaccine on or before March 15.

Second doses are also available to people diagnosed with or being treated for cancer or those who have received a solid organ transplant. In those cases the health authority will send confirmation letters.

The SHA asks people to have their vaccine information available when trying to access their second dose so it is clear which brand you received the first time and when.
