Raiders hand awards to underaged Goldsmith and overaged Nachbaur
The Prince Albert Raiders gave out two more awards for the 2020-21 Year-End Awards to two players on both sides of their career; underage defenceman Terrell Goldsmith for the team’s Rookie of the Year, while graduating overager Justin Nachbaur received the Players’ Choice Award.
As an underaged player in his 15-year-old season, Goldsmith was selected 15th overall in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft by the Raiders.
The Fort St. James, B.C. product made his WHL debut in the Subway Hub Centre on March 29 against the Saskatoon Blades. Goldsmith suited up in 14 of the Raiders’ final 16 games, scoring twice with 14 penalty minutes and a plus-five rating. In the final stretch of the season, he found a spot paired with veteran Remy Aquilon on the blueline.
