Two Canoe Narrows teens reported missing

UPDATE: The RCMP have reported as of 3:38 p.m. May 17 Dakota Opikokew and Clarissa Martell have been located safe.

Beauval RCMP is asking for the public’s help in finding a pair of missing teenagers from Canoe Narrows.

Dakota Opikokew, 18, and Clarissa Martell, 16, were both last seen Saturday night. Opikokew was last seen at 10:30 p.m. exiting a vehicle at the parking lot of the Canoe Narrows clinic. Martell was last seen as a passenger in a black Nissan Rouge in Cole Bay, heading south on Highway 903 towards Waterhen Lake.

Officers believe Dakota and Clarissa could be together and in Waterhen Lake First Nation or the Meadow Lake area, but this is unknown.

Dakota is described as being approximately 6’4” tall and weighs approximately 170 lb with brown hair and brown eyes.

Officers are working to confirm the description of Clarissa, however, a photo is attached at this time.

Anyone who may have seen Dakota or Clarissa or have any information of their whereabouts are asked to contact Beauval RCMP at 306-288-6400 or their local police service.
