Community clean-up events taking place around Prince Albert

May 5, 2021 | 12:00 PM

Spring cleaning is in the air as annual community clean-up events take place around Prince Albert this week from May 3 to 8.

Dumpsters have been set up at various locations around the city and residents are invited to take advantage.

“I think it’s good to clean up our environment for sure and everybody can utilize it,” Coun. Charlene Miller told paNOW. “Not all people have the ability to bring things to the landfill so it’s a good community initiative.”

This is Miller’s eleventh year organizing the Ward 1 clean-up.

She said the event usually collects around a large bins-worth of material, but last year they filled in an additional 15, as people stuck at home because of the pandemic turned to spring cleaning with extra vigour.

She hopes this year will be a similar success.

“I hope everybody takes advantage and anyone’s welcome to come to any site they want to in the City of Prince Albert,” she said.
