Police investigate alleged firearms activity and drug trafficking at West Flat residence
A heavy police presence, that included the SWAT team, was observed by residents Wednesday night in an area of Prince Albert’s west flat.
A video posted to Facebook showed officers executing a search warrant at a residence in the 1100 block of 17th Ave. W. One of the officers could be heard telling someone inside the residence they were under arrest. The video that was posted around 6:20 p.m., has since been pulled down.
Police have since confirmed members of the Integrated Crime Reduction Team (ICRT) arrested one man following the execution of a search warrant and investigation into illegal firearms activity and drug trafficking.
Several people were also detained by police and later released. A 36-year-old man is facing charges of breach of court orders relating to the possession of ammunition while prohibited.
