Prince Albert woman wins over $300,000 from TeleMiracle 50/50

Prince Albert resident Kim Wawro won the first ever online TeleMiracle 50/50 from the Kinsmen Foundation.

She is now precisely $363,060 richer after she received a phone call on Friday explaining she’d won the grand prize.

“I was just shocked and excited all at once, almost disbelief I guess,” Wawro told paNOW.

The winner of the 50/50 was made public during the Countdown to TeleMiracle pre-show, which was livestreamed Saturday night.

Wawro explained she bought the lucky ticket in January shortly after they announced they were having a 50/50 draw but said she didn’t follow it closely. The reason she decided to buy a ticket was to support the cause but also because she loves 50/50 draws.

As of right now she has no plans for her winnings.

“It’s just kind of overwhelming right now so we’re just going to sit on it for a while and think about it,” Wawro said.

She thanked the Kinsmen Foundation for her big win and for everything they do for the people of Saskatchewan.
