Anderson and Team Sask fall to 6-3 in Scotties’ Championship Pool

Feb 26, 2021 | 5:33 PM

Sherry Anderson’s four-match win streak at the 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts came to an end on Friday, against an opponent that doesn’t lose all too often.

Anderson fell to Kerri Einarson’s Team Canada 10-6. Einarson, the defending champion, has only lost one match as she is tied for first in the Championship Pool with an 8-1 record. With the defeat, Anderson falls to 6-3 and is tentatively in fifth place.

Anderson will face Winnipeg’s Beth Peterson (5-4), one of three wildcard entries in the tournament, tonight at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Anderson is scheduled to battle Alberta’s Laura Walker (6-3) at the 1:30 p.m. draw and Ontario’s Rachel Homan (8-1) at the 7:30 p.m. draw.
