A growing business in the region will benefit not only from local clients but also on the tourism industry.

Drift Spa at Elk Ridge Resort will be operated by Whiplash Brow and Lash Bar in Melfort.

Whiplash Owner Chisa Glendenning told northeastNOW the spa will have the same services as the Melfort location and more.

“We will expand services at Elk Ridge specifically so you will also be to find relaxation massage, stone massage, manicures and pedicures, and registered massage therapist,” Glendenning said.

It is an exciting time for Glendenning who began operating her business solo in 2017.

“I started off micro-blading and specializing in eyebrows and as the word got out and demand grew, I added more services,” Glendenning said.

Since then, Glendenning added to her staff in Melfort as well with having one other employee besides herself.

“With expansion comes more staff so we are just so excited to build our team and grow,” Glendenning said.

Bookings are now open through Whiplash Brow Bar or on the Elk Ridge Resort website. The Drift spa at Elk Ridge Resort will begin providing services on Thursday, Feb. 18.

“I always pictured and dreamed of having a second location but I didn’t expect it to be at Elk Ridge and I couldn’t think of a better place,” Glendenning said.

Having the second location will help accommodate the existing Whiplash clients that are coming from Prince Albert, Saskatoon and beyond.

“It will be so nice to have a spot that will be more convenient for some of those out of Melfort and area people,” Glendenning said.
