Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) reports it responded to 184 calls for service over the weekend.

While the majority of those calls involved disturbances and evictions, there were a few serious incidents.

According to a media release Monday, PAPS members are investigating an incident at a residence in the 100 Block of 11th Street West in which a man was threatened by a male with a gun. Just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday, the resident reported a window at his residence was damaged. As he attempted to fix the window, a male approached and threatened him with a rifle.

The suspect is described as being in his early 30s and approximately 5’7” tall with a mole near his left eye. He was reportedly wearing a black toque, black bunnyhug, blue jeans, and dirty white shoes.

Another weapons complaint was dealt with Saturday night. Police responded to the 1700 Block of 12th Avenue West around 10:20 p.m. A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital with gunshot wounds. His injuries are not life threatening.

In another matter police are investigating an aggravated assault late Saturday night involving a 31-year-old woman who had been dropped off at the Victoria Hospital with severe injuries. The woman was later transferred to hospital in Saskatoon for further treatment. This file remains under investigation.
