Prince Albert COVID compliance complaints surpasses 100, but no charges laid
The public health messages surrounding COVID-19 may still be sinking in for many people in the Prince Albert area, according to the latest statistics from the Prince Albert Police Service.
For the period ending Nov. 5, the police service received 105 COVID compliance-related calls. When broken down, there were 50 complaints for people not complying to group protocols, nine related to business compliance, three people who reportedly did not self-isolate after a positive test, and 18 complaints related to people not social distancing.
The other complaints had to do with people not isolating when they had symptoms. The police service has not charged anyone with non-compliance of the Public Health Order as of yet.
The updated numbers were discussed during Monday’s Board of Police Commissioners meeting.
