LACOMBE, AB – Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.

Today Mediacorp Canada Inc. announced the nation’s Top 100 Employers in the annual editorial competition.

AFSC has been recognized as a Top 100 Employer in Canada 13 times. Canada’s Top 100 Employers is a national competition that recognizes employers with forward-thinking workplaces and exceptional human resources programs.

In order to be considered one of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers, AFSC was compared with organizations in their field and evaluated using eight criteria: Physical Workplace, Work Atmosphere & Communications, Financial Benefits & Compensation, Health & Family-Friendly Benefits, Vacation & Personal Time-Off, Employee Engagement & Performance, Training & Skills Development, Community Involvement.

The editors publish detailed reasons for selection and grades for these criteria, providing transparency in winner selection and a ‘catalogue of best-practices’ for employers and job-seekers alike.

Mediacorp editors cited AFSC’s generous paid vacation and personal time-off entitlements, maternal leave top-up payments and additional parental benefits as well as support for its employees in preparation for post-retirement life as a few of the positive employment regulations. They also gave AFSC top marks for Work Atmosphere and Communications, Financial Benefits and Compensation, Vacation and Personal Time-Off, Training and Skills Development, and Community Involvement.

“We’re thrilled about this recognition for our organization and our people,” said Darryl Kay, AFSC CEO.

“The biggest reason AFSC continues to be recognized as a great employer is because of the people who work here. Their dedication to our goals, our industry, and to each other make AFSC an organization we are all proud of and a great place to work.”

Alberta’s Top Employers for 2021 will be announced in January, 2021.
