After graduating from the WHL, Brayden Watts has found a new hockey home. Watts signed with the Wichita Thunder, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Edmonton Oilers and Watts’ hometown Bakersfield Condors of the AHL.
Watts scored 29 goals and 32 assists for the Raiders in 61 games — more than doubling his goal total of 12 he scored in his 19-year-old season with the Vancouver Giants, the runners-up to the Prince Albert Raiders.
Watts played 315 games throughout his career, starting in 2015 with the Moose Jaw Warriors, before getting traded midway through the 2016-17 season to the Giants. Watts scored 68 goals and 93 assists in his junior career.
