Province reports 15 new cases of COVID-19, new outbreak declared
There are 15 new cases of COVID-19 in the province, bringing the total to 708.
Fourteen of those cases are in the province’s South region.
The new cases are connected to a new outbreak declared by the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The outbreak is in two Hutterite communities in the Rural Municipality of Maple Creek. Two members of a rural household in the area tested positive for the virus last week. Contact tracing is underway.
Cases are also being investigated for connection to interprovincial travel between Alberta and the area, along with travel in the area. The remaining new cases is in the province’s Far North region.
