PAPS and RCMP seize drugs and shotgun

The Prince Albert Police Service and RCMP’s Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) conducted two separate investigations last week, resulting in a total of six people being charged.

On Thursday, police conducted a traffic stop in the 800 Block of 15th St. E. just before 7:30 p.m. Officers then executed search warrants at two homes in the city, in the 1000 Block of 13th Street West and the 300 Block of Pine Drive. Police found methamphetamine, a loaded, sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun, ammunition and three digital scales.

A 36-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man were charged jointly with drug and firearms-related charges, while a 36-year-old man is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance.

In a separate ISET investigation, police executed search warrants at three P.A. residences on Friday, locating a small amount of cocaine, packaging materials, cellphones and a Taser flashlight.

A 28-year-old man is charged with two counts of failure to comply with court release conditions, a 29-year-old man is facing three counts of failure to comply with release conditions and a 32-year-old woman is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
