Hughes set to return to Riders

Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive lineman Charleston Hughes will return to the team for the 2020 season.

Hughes made the announcement while he was on stage with Rod Pedersen at the Saskatoon Kinsmen Club dinner Friday. Pedersen, host of the Rod Pedersen Show shared the news across his social media platforms.

Hughes, who has been a member of the Riders since signing with the team in 2018, had a strong 2019 season. In 2019 the 12-year pro had 16 sacks along with four forced fumbles and a touchdown while playing in 17 regular season games.

So far, there has been no official confirmation from the team, but fans responded to the news enthusiastically.
