Near-record temperatures to hit Prince Albert on Saturday
How things can change. It was one year ago temperatures were bitter cold. Overnight lows were hitting – 39 C, daytime highs were around – 25 C. Fast forward and it’s a much different story.
Environment Canada has projected a daytime of high of 0 C for Thursday and to kick off February, a daytime high of 5 C.
“The record high for the day (Saturday) is 8.3 C,” Meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada Terri Lang told paNOW. “(That record) was set it 1924.”
While Lang wasn’t sure the all-time daily-high record would fall, she mentioned it’s certainly warmer than the normal averages for this time of year with average highs around – 11 C and average lows around – 23 C.
