Birch Hills wins MIT

Birch Hills Marauders claim gold medal at Moskal Invitational Tournament

The Birch Hills Marauders senior boys basketball team are the 2020 Moskal Invitational Tournament (MIT) champions.

Birch Hills upended Meadow Lake 74-62 in the final at MUCC on Sunday.

The Marauders stormed out to a 40-26 lead at halftime, but the Carpenter High Spartans had a huge third quarter, outscoring Birch Hills 24-9 to take a 50-49 lead into the fourth.

But Birch Hills pulled away in the end, earning the 12-point victory.

In the bronze medal game, the P.A. Carlton Crusaders outscored Melfort 80-47.
