Guhle, Schneider light the lamp at Top Prospects Game
Raider defenceman Kaiden Guhle and Prince Albert native Braden Schneider each picked up a goal to help Team White to a 5-3 victory over Team Red at the 2020 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Hamilton, ON Thursday night.
On the other side, Raider forward Ozzy Wiesblatt served as an alternate captain for Team Red in the event. The trio with Prince Albert connections were among 13 WHL players selected to the game. Kamloops Blazers forward and Saskatoon native Connor Zary tied for the lead with three points, all of them assists for Team White.
Tyson Foerster of the Barrie Colts was selected as Team White’s player of the game with two goals and an assist, while Jack Quinn of the Ottawa 67s earned honours for Team Red with one goal.
In Monday’s midterm rankings from NHL’s Central Scouting services, Guhle was ranked seventh, Schneider eighth, and Wiesblatt 14th among North American skaters. Guhle was the top-rated skater of all WHL players.
