Prince Albert welcomes first baby of 2020

She has a famous name and an exciting entrance into the world to match.

Newborn Grace Kelly Morin made her regal arrival at 5:02 a.m. on Wednesday, becoming the city’s first baby of the new decade.

Parents Christina and Gary Morin thanked Dr. Lalita Malhotra and the nursing staff at the Victoria Hospital for her safe delivery.

In a media release the Saskatchewan Health Authority said Grace weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. Baby Grace has three brothers and two sisters. Her parents are from Southend and everyone is doing well.

The Victoria Hospital Foundation welcomed the town’s newest resident with a sled full of gifts and baby gear.

Grace was one of five babies born in Prince Albert yesterday. The Victoria Hospital delivers over 1,500 babies each year.
