Peewee Foxes Share the Christmas Spirit

What is one gift you can give that will last as a beautiful memory?

Well the Peewee Foxes decided instead of exchanging gifts, they would like to go as a group and spend time with people who may not get any visitors this Christmas.

On December 14th, the Foxes all headed down to the Good Shepard Villa to play games with the residents.

They had two different games happening, Yahtzee and Uno.

Alexis Wawro, Captain(from) of the Foxes, mentions, ” I could see how much the older folks liked it when we were there and I got to spend time with my great grandpa.”

Another Fox, Gracie Reed says, “We enjoyed playing games with them and it made me feel like I was making their day. They taught me how to play Yahtzee. It felt really good to do something nice for someone else with my team.”

As the girls played, they noticed there were a few veteran card players that liked to show them the tips and tricks on how to play and to make sure they weren’t cheating.

Wawro said she, ” loved hearing a resident, Agnes, talking about her past life, her husband, and where she used to work.”

Sometimes during the Christmas time, the residents don’t have anyone to go see them and this was a good opportunity and learning experience for the girls. Lacy Lesko,a teammate recalls, “they had great conversations and I really appreciate the time we got to spend together.”

The Peewee Foxes could have chosen any other activity to do but they chose the residents at the Good Shepard Villa.

This really goes to show something in the girls that we sometimes tend to forget about.

From the Peewee Foxes, they would like to say, ” Thankyou
