Titans’ six game win streak snapped in OT by Rebels

Nov 24, 2019 | 5:30 PM

The Prince Albert Titans’ six-game winning streak came to a dramatic and abrupt end on Wednesday. Alex Hicks jammed in the goal that put an end to the streak to give the Southern Rebels a 5-4 overtime victory on Sunday at the Kinsmen Arena.

Although the Titans surely wanted to keep their winning streak intact, they’ve still earned 13 out of a possible 14 points in the month of November. They only have one more game left this month, against the West Central Rage who they beat twice this month already (5-3 on Nov. 1, 4-1 on Nov. 2).

Braeden Mishak tied the game for the Titans 3:31 into the third period after an explosion of goals in the second period. The Rebels scored three goals on the Titans’ two in the middle frame, to take a 4-3 lead into the third.

Jakob Tournier had a pair of goals for the Titans. Ashton Morin also had a goal for the Titans. Tanner Hendriks had a pair of assists.
