Shooting suspect denied release

A man accused of shooting an 18-year-old woman was denied bail at a hearing Thursday afternoon at Prince Albert Provincial Court.
Kyle Bear was one of three people charged in connection to an incident last August on Marquis Road. The young woman was later found by police in the parking lot area near the Kinsmen Skatepark, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was transported by ambulance to hospital in stable condition.
Police said at the time of the incident they believed it was gang-related, and there were two vehicles involved.
Bear, whose charges include attempted murder, and participation in a criminal organization has been scheduled to make his next court appearance in February.
