Titans continue their heater to five games

The Prince Albert Titans are turning it around. They won their fifth game in a row, defeating the Delisle Chiefs 4-3 on Sunday at the Kinsmen Arena.

The winning streak is certainly something that Titans fans have been waiting for, for quite some time. The Titans won six games in all of last year, and three games the year before that. They already have six wins in 17 games played this year, and are currently ranked fourth in the Bob Dybvig Division with a 6-9-2 record.

It’s also the first time the Titans have defeated the Chiefs since Nov. 5, 2016. They beat the Chiefs 3-2 in overtime on the road. That snaps a 13-game loss streak to the Chiefs.

It didn’t look good for the Titans early, as Michael Scharkowski was ejected from the game after taking a checking from behind major penalty. The Chiefs scored twice on the five-minute power play and led 2-0 late in the first period. But the Titans scored the next four goals of the game. Talon Thomas had two of them, with Tanner Hendriks and Tyler Rock scoring the other pair.
