Titans win their third game in a row

The Prince Albert Titans have now won their third game in a row on the road last night in Regina.

The Titans defeated the Silver Foxes 6-5 at the Doug Wickenheiser Arena in a high scoring fashion.

Joel Robinson opened the scoring for the Titans assisted by Talon Thomas and Thien Gamble with over 11 minutes remaining in the opening frame. A few minutes later the Silver Foxes got on the board scored by Jacob Belton tying the game up at one a piece heading into the second period.

The Titans scored first in the second period when Dillan Saworski scored on the powerplay to put them up 2 – 1. Ten minutes later the Titans scored again to go up 3 – 1 after Thien Gamble buried a scoring chance. A few minutes later the Silver Foxes responded as Maison Morin scored on the powerplay to bring his team within one goal.

In the third period, the Titans regained their two goal lead after Ashton Morin scored off a pass from Tanner Hendriks. Although the Titans wouldn’t hold the lead for long as the Silver Foxes would score two goals later in the period from Erik DeRosier and Tyler Will. Around two minutes after they tied it, Talon Thomas responded with an important goal to put the Titans up 5 – 4. Thien Gamble would later score his second of the game to put the Titans up 6 – 4. The Silver Foxes would later score on the powerplay to make it 6 – 5 but the Titans would hold on for the victory.

Thien Gamble would finish with two goals and one assist and Talon Thomas finished with one goal and an assist.

The Titans are back in action next Friday when they head to Saskatoon to take on the Royals at the Rod Hamm Arena.
