Three Bears off to gold medal game after win in semis

Prince Albert Northern Bears’ Brooklyn Anderson, Jasper Desmarais and Paris Oleksyn all have a chance to win the gold medal at the 2019 National Women’s Under-18 Championship in Winkler, Man.

They earned that opportunity on Friday by beating Ontario Blue 3-1 in their semifinal matchup.

Team Saskatchewan will suit up for the gold medal game on Saturday at 4 p.m. against the winner of tonight’s semifinal between Quebec and Ontario Red.

Ontario Red is the only team to defeat Saskatchewan in four tournament games thus far, doing so on Thursday by a score of 4-2.

Anderson has a goal in four tournament games thus far. Desmarais and Oleksyn have also played in all four games.
