Prince Albert ISET seize drugs after arrest near Shellbrook

Oct 31, 2019 | 10:58 AM

The Prince Albert Integrated Street Enforcement Team (ISET) arrested two people, which led to a large drug seizure.

According to an RCMP release, ISET arrested 35-year-old Narcisse Paul Bear and 25-year-old Shay Watson on Oct. 29 at the Mistawasis First Nation.

Police arrested them both after they found Bear driving a vehicle with Watson as a passenger at the time. Since Aug. 8, Bear was a wanted man for being unlawfully at large and breaching conditions of his parole on a Canada-wide warrant. Watson was arrested for breach of recognizance for violating the conditions of her release on previous charges.

Both are facing more charges after the police searched the vehicle and found 3.7 grams of crack cocaine, 1.1 lbs of methamphetamine, over $5,000 in Canadian currency, four cell phones, weigh scales, and other weapons and ammunition.

They are both facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of cocaine, and the possession of a weapon while prohibited. They appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court yesterday.
