RCMP pursuing repeat offender; officer injured in chase

Aug 20, 2019 | 5:19 PM

A man with a history of break and enters in the Prince Albert area, is again wanted by the RCMP.

Blaine Lake RCMP have issued a warrant for the arrest of Jade Ermine. It’s alleged he was one of three people who entered a farm yard on August 14 and proceeded to siphon gas out of a slip tank.

Efforts by the RCMP Tuesday to locate Ermine have been ongoing since approximately 2 p.m. During their search efforts, an RCMP officer was injured and transported to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The public has been asked by the RCMP to be alert and respect any direction given by police officers in the area. If anyone sees Ermine, or has information about his whereabouts, they are not to approach him and to call the RCMP or 911 immediately.

In January 2018, Ermine was one of three people charged in connection to a home invasion at a rural property. He was later found not guilty after a Prince Albert judge found the homeowner’s use of the internet may have influenced her testimony in the case.

The very same month, Ermine was charged in connection to a break and enter and theft from a Prince Albert business. Two trucks, an ATV, numerous electronics and tools were stolen.
