Raiders announce training camp schedule

Hockey season is on the way in Prince Albert.

The defending WHL champion Prince Albert Raiders will be opening their 2019 training camp on Friday, Aug. 30 at the Art Hauser Centre as the team takes its first step towards a new campaign.

On-ice scrimmages will begin at 5 p.m. on Aug. 30 and will carry on through the weekend, free to attend for the public.

The annual Green and White intra-squad game will serve as the end of camp on Monday, Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. Fans are welcome to attend the Green and White game as well, with the admission costs set as either a non-perishable food item or a $2 donation at the door.

Once training camp concludes, the Raiders will begin a five-game pre-season schedule on Wed., Sept. 4 when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors at 7 p.m., with admission at $5 for children 12 and under and $10 for the general public.

The pre-season ends at home against the Regina Pats on Saturday, Sept. 14, with the regular season home opener taking place the following Friday, Sept. 20 when the Saskatoon Blades come to town.

Friday, Aug. 30 – 5 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 21 – 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 1 – 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 2 – Green and White Game, 1 p.m.
