Softball Championships wrap up in P.A.

It was a weekend of fierce competition as roughly 800 players, belonging to dozens of teams came to Prince Albert for the 2019 FSIN Youth Softball Championships.

Held by the Federation of Sovereign Indigenous Nations, the annual event drew in not only a large number of players, but also hundreds of spectators over the weekend.

A total of 60 teams competed in the event, ranging from U10 to U18 teams.

The U18 championship game took place Sunday at 4:30 p.m., and saw Wahpeton First Nation go up against Ochapowace First Nation.
