Jul 18, 2019 | 3:27 PM

Police arrested two people on drugs charges and one youth for an arson charge in two separate investigations this week.

After 9 p.m. Wednesday night, members of the Saskatchewan Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) executed a search warrant at a home on Jack Matheson Crescent. Police seized cannabis, gamma-hydroxybutyrate (a central-nervous system depressant) and 98 grams of cocaine.

Among the seized items, police took a digital scale, three cellphones, baggies and more than $1,400 in cash.

A 34-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were charged.

CFSEU is made up of members from several policing agencies and has units located in Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert. The mandate is to target criminal organizations.

Arson/Mischief

In an unrelated file, police have charged a 14-year-old youth with mischief and arson after two properties were damaged this week.

The locations are within the 1000 block of 22nd St. E. Police made the arrest after they were called for a report of a shed on fire around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. A can of spray paint was seized from the scene.
