P.A. housing market slightly down in June

Prince Albert’s housing market was slightly down in June, when compared to the same month last year in terms of the number of listings, according the Saskatoon Region association of Realtors (SRAR).

According to the SRAR numbers, there was a total of 170 listings, down 12 per cent from the 193 in the same month of 2018 within the Prince Albert region. A total of 58 sales were recorded, down five per cent from the 61 in 2018.

The dollar volume was also down in the area, with only $11.8 million compared to $15.2 million, a decrease of 22 per cent.

Year-to-date, a total of 270 homes have sold in the area, which is down five per cent from 283 in 2018. This made for a 12 per cent lower dollar volume of $55.8 million, down from $63.3 million.

The average sale price has also fallen in the area, down from $190, 850 in June, down 25 per cent from last June; and $195,500 year-to-date, down 18 per cent from last year’s $237,813.
