St. Mary sends off class of 2019
Another group of high school students has crossed the stage.
Thursday morning at the Art Hauser Centre École St. Mary’s class of 2019 received their diplomas to cap off their high school careers. This year the school is graduating 204 students, one of its biggest classes ever.
Besides receiving their diplomas, some graduates were also given awards and scholarships. This year a new award was handed out. The Jacob Leicht Memorial Scholarship in honour of the former St. Mary student who died in the Humboldt Broncos bus collision was handed to Jaelyn Prediger.
“It feels amazing, it’s such an honour to be receiving this award,” she said.
