Crown appeals acquittal in murder conspiracy case
The case against former lovers, convicted and later acquitted, in an alleged plot to kill their spouses has entered a new chapter in court.
Saskatchewan’s Attorney General has decided to appeal the acquittal of Curtis Vey and Angela Nicholson.
Nicholson and Vey were originally found guilty in 2016, but the decision was overturned during a retrial of their case in May.
In the acquittal, the judge ruled an iPod recording of the two discussing the alleged plan could not be used as evidence because it was handed over to police without a warrant.
