P.A. Panthers close out inaugural season

Jun 17, 2019 | 11:47 AM

The Prince Albert Panthers, P.A.’s first female rugby team, closed out their first season Sunday with a tournament in Saskatoon.

The team faced off against the Saskatoon Sirens and Lashburn Lucky during the bout. Unfortunately the Panthers were unable to score against either team, but coaches Danette Senterre and Kiera Beauchesne told paNOW they are already looking forward to next season.

The Panthers will lose only one graduate, Brooklyn Grimard, and are already recruiting new players. Both coaches are expecting next season to have a stronger start, with the team building on their experience from this season.
