Police release photos of alleged graffiti suspects

May 17, 2019 | 10:10 AM

The Prince Albert Police Service has now released photos of the people they believe spray painted over 20 homes and businesses in the city.

As paNOW reported on Thursday, the word “Crip” was written on walls, fences and garage doors. Sgt. Travis Willie was asked if police knew what the possible meaning was behind the word showing up in the city.

“We all know Crips are a gang out of the United States but we cannot say for sure. It could be anything from kids thinking it’s cool and doing this, to do we have actual Crip members in out city. We can’t say one way or another,” he said.

Willie said the majority of the crimes happened on the west side of the city. Police obtained photos of the suspects on a security camera on May 16 at 12:48 a.m., but no arrests have been made at this time. Willie said police are looking for any information related to the crimes.

“Im sure the people responsible have talked about their actions and someone knows who these people are and who is responsible,” he said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Prince Albert Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
