Police deploy Taser to arrest suspect with knife

Prince Albert Police Service members deployed a Taser Tuesday night to gain control over a female suspect who assaulted two people and had a knife.
The arrest took place in the 800 Block of River St. W. around 6:20 p.m. Police say the suspect assaulted two people and resisted arrest.
According to a media release from the Prince Albert Police Service, the Taser was effective and the woman was taken into custody without further struggle. The woman did not suffer any injuries but was transported to the Victoria Hospital.
