Owners of local golf course hope for warm weather

Apr 15, 2019 | 5:43 PM

Those looking to get out on the golf course may have the chance to do it this week. Patty Kachur who is the owner and operator of Kachur’s Golf Club said they hope to have the coarse ready in the near future.

“We’re crossing our fingers, [because], that would be cool to be open for Easter,” she said.

Kachur said most of the snow has melted, but some remains on the fairways. Once the tees warm up, the coarse will be ready.

“Hopefully by Friday [if] we get some double digits, we should be open ready to go,” she said.

Right now the greens on the course are still tarped and staff will remove them once the sun comes out.
