Marauders girls and Crusaders boys get wins at regionals

The St. Mary Marauders senior girls basketball team are one win away from the 2019 Hoopla high school basketball provincials in Saskatoon next weekend.

The Marauders beat the Lloydminster Barons 58-34 Friday in the 5A Girls Rural Regionals at Carlton Friday to advance to the semifinals.

They’ll take on the top-ranked Carlton Crusaders at 10 a.m. on Saturday. The winner of that game gets an automatic berth into Hoopla.

On the 5A Boys Rural Regionals in Yorkton, the Crusaders beat the Marauders 75-58. The Crusaders also play at 10 a.m. in Yorkton, and will take on Lloydminster for a shot at Hoopla.
