In her first ever Scotties Tournament of Hearts appearance, Robyn Silvernagle and Team Saskatchewan are heading home from Sydney, N.S., with a bronze medal.
North Battleford’s Silvernagle, along with Saskatoon’s Stefanie Lawton, who grew up in Prince Albert, Alberta’s Jessie Hunkin and Prince Albert’s Kara Thevenot finished in third place on Sunday after falling to Ontario’s Rachel Homan 9-7 in the semifinals Sunday.
Silvernagle beat Homan 6-3 on Friday to finished in second place in the Championship Pool and advance to the 1-2 page playoff. She then lost to Alberta’s Chelsea Carey 11-7 on Saturday, forcing a semifinal rematch with Homan.
