Robyn Silvernagle will need a win Sunday morning to punch her ticket to the championship final at the 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Team Saskatchewan 11-7 fell in a thrilling tight affair to Alberta’s Chelsea Carey in Sydney, N.S.

The foursome will face Rachel Homan’s Ontario rink in the semi-final at 10 a.m., who edged Northern Ontario 6-4 in a back-and-forth game earlier in the day.

Chelsea Carey’s rink opened the match with two points but Saskatchewan quickly responded with three in the second end and one in the third.

A pair of singles for Alberta tied the game 4-4 after five ends. But Carey capitalized on a miss by Silvernagle in the seventh and notched four to take an 8-5 lead.

With the hammer in the eighth, Saskatchewan scored two and narrowed the gap to one heading into the ninth. One point in the ninth from the Calgary rink and two in the final frame after a Hail Mary miss from Saskatchewan drew handshakes.
