End draws near for Winterscape contest

Feb 6, 2019 | 2:01 PM

The final push is on for a local photo contest.

Voting for the Prince Albert Winter Festival’s Winterscape contest wraps up Thursday at 6 p.m. There have been three entries in the Be-Dazzled category. Festival spokesperson Donna Barr told paNOW she had hoped to get more entries.

“Of course it’s a first year thing so getting the message out is a little more challenging whenever you do something for the first time but also we understand it’s been extremely cold this winter,” she said.

Voting can be done by clicking on the image on the winter festival website. There’s a limit of one vote per I.P. address. First prize for the contest is a ticket package for the festival, and second prize is a pair of tickets to a festival show of the winner’s choice.

“I think next year you’ll see a different model, and people now that they know about [the contest] can look forward to that,” Barr said.
