Canadian Jaclyn Lee sits first at LPGA qualifying tournament at 4 under
PINEHURST, N.C. — Canadian Jaclyn Lee sits atop the leaderboard after the first round of the Q-Series LPGA qualifying tournament.
The 21-year-old Calgary native shot a bogey-free 4-under 68 on Wednesday at Pinehurst Course No. 6 to put herself well on her way to gaining an LPGA card for the 2019 season.
“I just played some solid golf today, gave myself opportunities for birdies and I made a couple, so that was nice to have,” said Lee.
Lee has had a strong year, reaching the semifinals of the British Amateur and the quarterfinals of the U.S. Amateur. She also made the cut at the Meijer LPGA Championship.
