For nearly three years, Green Hill Lodge and Suites has been helping care for your loved ones, providing light to medium-level care for the elderly in the community.

Green Hill Lodge opened in October 2015 in the former Pineview Terrace location on the city’s west side. Completely renovated and updated, the facility is licensed for 50 residents, including a new specialized wing for those with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Featuring 17 recently-renovated rooms, this specialized wing includes separate areas for residents to dine and engage in activities with monitored exits for additional safety. There is already a waiting list for rooms in the specialized wing.

Green Hill is jointly owned by Dr. Syed Ali, Zabi Ullah, Khurram Ashraf, and Allan Balan who say they saw a need for more specialized services for seniors in Prince Albert.

“Everybody has a separate care plan according to their needs and we strive to ensure that the needs of each and every one of our patients is met.” Ullah says.

Saima Hussain, facility manager at Green Hill Lodge, says residents help guide activities at the facility and have a say in what they like to do and even what they want to see on the menu. Giving residents a voice in their own care makes Green Hill Lodge a great place for your loved ones to spend their time, she says.

“It’s not just a facility, it’s more like their home, where the residents are our family.” Hussain adds.

The same is true for family members of residents, who are welcome to stop in any time and are a big part of the integrated care plans for their elderly loved ones. Family members of residents are included in regular events and holiday celebrations at Green Hill and the centre has an open-door policy for questions or comments.

“If there’s a care need or a concern from the family, they can let us know,” Hussain says.
