National Park prepared for busy long weekend
A volleyball tournament, bike decorating competition and parade are among the events planned for Canada Day long weekend at Prince Albert National Park.
Lisa Rowe, the administrator at the Waskesiu Chamber of Commerce office, said the weekend represents the official kickoff to their season.
“With our recreation rentals we go from maybe seeing two people a day to being fully booked and rented most of the day,” she said.
Rowe said she is most looking forward to the opening of the new mini-golf course Sunday at 2 p.m.Work on the site near the tennis courts was started back in September.
