Predators celebrate their first PGLL ‘ship
It took a decade and a half of working towards it, but the Prince Albert Predators can now call themselves Prairie Gold Lacrosse League junior champions.
After forming in 2003, they won their first ever title on Saturday in the crowded and overheated Kinsmen Arena, beating the Regina Rampage 7-3 in Game 2, after Friday’s 9-4 win in Game 1.
Predators’ captain Brendon Beaulac gets to forever claim that he was the first ever Predator to touch the team’s first ever PGLL Cup.
“It’s a great feeling. We’ve worked so hard for it all year,” Beaulac said. “I couldn’t be happier with how the guys played.”
